Do you want to learn more about cover crops? MOA is collaborating with Farmers for Climate Solutions (FCS) to offer cover cropping training through their new, free, online Farm Resilience Mentorship Program (FaRM). The farm tours will be a part of the FaRM training, and are also open to all growers!
FaRM Tours
FaRM tours offer in person opportunities to connect with FaRM Mentors and the extended farming community in Manitoba! Join in as agriculture experts provide practical tools, and boots on the ground training to help you make the most of soil fertility, weed management and crop biodiversity to enhance harvest outcomes and support a clean environment. Immerse yourself in conversation with cereal specialists, local farmers, and industry specialists, while growing relationships with other organic farmers in the field and across the table over a local prairie meal.
Make sure to prepare for the weather-rain or shine!
Bring bug spray and clothing to shield you from mosquitoes!
Water bottles encouraged! We will have a water bottle refill station onsite.
You can register as a general participant and make your $10 payment for the catered lunch by clicking the button below.
