Organic Week - Film Screening and Event
Join the Manitoba Organic Alliance for a special celebration of Canadian Organic Week!
On Thursday, September 21, 2023, we will be hosting an unforgettable evening at the Gas Station Art Center (445 River Avenue, Winnipeg). Doors open at 6:30 PM and at 7 PM sharp, we’ll start with a preview screening of the eye-opening documentary “Kiss the Ground.” Narrated by Woody Harrelson. Registration is $15 a person. If space allows cash registration will be available at the door or “pay what you can”.
Here’s a great part: The first 50 registrants will receive a special gift—a thriving organic basil plant from Sage Garden Greenhouse. It’s a small token of our appreciation for your support.
After the film, get ready for an engaging Q&A session with farmers and experts in the Manitoba Organic sector. At approximately 8:45 PM, we’ll transition to the Gas Station Theatre foyer, where you can enjoy music by DJ BlueBikes, delightful drinks, and explore a variety of vendors selling local organic products.
Our aim is to wrap up the event by 10 PM, with festivities continuing until around 10:30 PM. Please note that tickets grant full access from 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM, so you can choose between enjoying the screening and outdoor activities.
