Manitoba Protein Challenge

On March 17, 2020, Manitoba entrepreneurs and businesses will have their first opportunity to compete in the inaugural Manitoba Protein Challenge. The Manitoba Protein Challenge is a platform to present and showcase Manitoba processor’s new and innovative plant-based and animal-based protein products that are ready for retail or that have been in the market less than one year.

This event is expected to attract approximately 100 agriculture and food stakeholders and is anticipated to help connect Manitoba processors with retailers, food service, industry experts and media to introduce their products, learn about current protein industry trends and accelerate commercialization of their products.  Eligible applicants must submit an Application Form by February 7, 2020 to Manitoba Agriculture and Resource Development by email to Finalists will be selected based the their plant-based or animal-based product’s innovation, market potential and product story and be notified by February 24, 2020.  Winners of the plant-based and animal-based categories will receive a Manitoba Protein Challenge 2020 Award and media attention.
