2024 Summer Farm Tours
June 28th
Cover Cropping for Vegetable Production
Time: 1-4 pm
Join us for a tour of Wild Earth Farms where we’ll explore the ups and downs of working cover crops into a vegetable rotation. We are proud to host this event in collaboration with Young Agrarians

July 8th
Farmer/Miller/Baker event
Time: 10 am – 2 pm
Visit an Organic Grain farm and flour mill. The tour will start outdoors visiting the Organic fields of Millview Grains farm which surrounds the mill, so dress for the weather. The tour will then move into the mill for a guest speaker on seed security, a tour of the mill, and a delicious lunch featuring ingredients from the mill itself.
Mill is located south of Blumenort – Directions will be provided upon registration.

Black Family Farm
Visit The Black family farm, Manitoba’s only Centennial Organic Farm with 3rd, 4th, and 5th generations working together. Black Family Farm’s yields have continuously improved, as they build soil with a 3 year rotation. Join us for conversations on cover crops, green manure plowdown, rapid decomposition, phosphorus availability, and nutrient cycling.
South of Deloraine – Directions available upon registration.
Lunch will be included.
